Adjustable Test Fixture
The TE4000 fully adjustable bed of nails style test fixture can be configured to probe
almost any circuit board in just a few hours. Perfect tool for developing tests. Then to
be used as a full production tester for evaluating production line test strategy prior to
buying perminately drilled test fixtures or while waiting for your drilled fixtures to be
delivered. Next, add a desktop or rack mount computer, plug in the data acquisition boards
and software. This will create a complete full performance cost efficient functional,
in-circuit, or bare board tester.
Quick and Simple operation
1. Slide in the 4 tooling pin sliders
and center the board under test in the fixture.
2. Slide in and adjust the spring loaded
test pins.
3. Slide in and adjust the press down rods.
4. Tighten the clamp rings
5. Wire up the test fixture to front and
rear panels. |

Mechanical
The tester is comprised of 2 plates. The top hinged press down plate and a bottom
stationary bed of nails plate which holds the tooling pins and spring loaded test pins.
1. The tooling pins and spring loaded test
pins are set in the bottom bed of nails plate and are wired to connectors on the back
panel and internal circuitry
2. The top press plate can hold up to 10
spring loaded test pins and 30 press down rods to provide a counter force for the bed of
nails plate on the bottom.

Inside
View
This view with the top cover open. This shows the easy accessibility provided by our
fixture designs. The pins shown in this plate will be wire wrapped to the rear panel
connectors and an internal power supply and any variety of internal signal conditioning
boards. Low speed signals and data pins are wire wrapped directly to the appropriate rear
panel connectors where they are cabled out to a data acquisition board. Higher speed
signals, and noise sensitive signals are wired with twisted pairs or coaxial cable.
1. Patented High accuracy double rubberized grip bands built inside
the clamp rings hold the spring loaded test pins and press down rods ridged.
2. Lever actuated handle provides smooth even actuation through the
final compression testing process.
3. A variety of custom cut inlays shown below are available for a
variety of common test connectors.
4. The inlays are made with easy to machine .063" aluminum. |

Quick
Test Ring Changeover
The test fixture was designed to provide quick test ring replacement so that pre-adjusted
test rings could be dropped in and used to test multiple products. A test ring holding jig
is available for adjusting test rings out of fixutre for customers whith mulitple products
who want to minimize fixture down time. Once a ring is a adjusted tightend and wired. You
can keep it that way for as long as you need and still use the test fixture to test other
products. The top and bottom test rings are removable without loosening the rings and
losing the adjustments! Test ring changeover is a quick 2 minuit job. 4 screws to change
the bottom ring and 4 screws to change the top ring. The top plate drops down and slides
out. The bottom plate drops down and comes out the bottom panel. front and rear panel
inlays with mounted connectors wired to the bottom ring will also drop inward and pull out
through the bottom. This design allows everything to be removed from the test fixture as
one module! The entire bottom ring and connector assemblys slide out together eliminating
wiring hassels. New top and bottom test rings slide back in. We pride ourselves in our
