TE-1300 PC Board Troubleshooting Fixture
The TE-1300 bed of nails style troubleshooting fixture is designed to take highly unbalanced (off center) loads so that a single board can be placed on one side or the other. This configuration provides probing and tweaking access to both sides of the board under test through cutouts in the clear top plate. Next, add a desktop or rack mount computer, plug in the National Instruments Virtual Instrumentation boards and software. This will create a complete full performance cost efficient functional, in-circuit, or bare board tester.

Component Side and Solder Side Probing Access
Shows the fixture probing the component side on the left and solder side on the right. The primary purpose of this type of fixture is for intensive troubleshooting access. The fixture design allows a technician to probe and troubleshoot both the component side and solder side of the board under test. The fixture provides a convenient way to power up the board under test and provides all the normal test signals. The technician can then easily probe and troubleshoot to the individual component through access slots in the top press down cover. The slots are through holes milled out of the clear polycarbonate press plate and are visible between the white nylon threaded press down rods in the top photo. These slots provide access for probing the board with standard test equipment such as an oscilloscope, multi-meter, or frequency counter.
