TEST ELECTRONICS’ TE-1000 Test Fixture
Low Cost High Performance PC Board Test Fixture

TE-1000 PC Board Test Fixture
Simple Low cost Bed of Nails Clamshell style Circuit board test fixture. Test Electronics will prescision drill and customize the TE-1000 bed of nails style test fixture for your circuit board. Next, add a desktop or rack mount computer, plug in low cost off the shelf data aquisition boards and create a complete full performance cost efficient functional, in-circuit, or bare board tester. Fixture kits are also available for those who like to do it themselves.

This view with the bottom panel removed shows the easy accessibility provided in our fixture designs. In this example of a functional tester, an internal power supply powers the board under test. Front panel snap dome switches and rotary switches are mounted and interconnected with circuit boards we manufacture in house. Wiring is is connected with removable connectors then neatly bundled for easy troubleshooting and modification.

This fixture demonstrates directly powering the circuit board under test with a high current AC transformer connected directly to the back sides of high current spring loaded test pins which are offset to provide necessary clearance space for a connector mounted on the back side of the board under test. Also shown is our use of heat sinking and dissipation techniques from high wattage load resistors, and our use of in house fabricated circuit baords to reduce front panel wiring.

High speed signals, and noise sensitive signals are wired with twisted pairs or coaxial cable. Data pins are wire wrapped to the appropriate rear panel connectors where they are cabled out to an insrument board.
Our intensive labeling for error free cable connections to the test equipment. This promotes quick and easy setup. We live up to our Understand-it-at-a-glance philosophy for intuitive, easy to learn and understand operation.
